SO COOL!

FI just showed me this today... if you go to maps.google.com they have this new beta version up, where you can see a satalite view of any address you put in!! We can actually see the pool in FI's backyard! Its so awesome!

Re: SO COOL!

That's definitely cool. But I tried my parents house, and the house it showed didn't have a pool, and wasn't on a corner. So I don't think it was actually their house. I tried my place, but since it is an apartment, there are no defining features like a pool or anything.

Re: SO COOL!

this has been out for a while...
its to help you have an idea of what a building or landmark looks like. its up for debate because this is a freee satilite service and poses privacy concerns... i dont see how it can cause your not close enough to see any thing

Ours was a few houses off... That red pointer isnt always accurate, but if you look around it, you should be able to find your house!

Re: SO COOL!

My parents was pretty accurate, the picture was a few years old because it shows a pool and we have not have one in 4 years. For my house, again it is an old picture because looking at the picture, my house is not even on there.
