I know my shower is this Saturday...only 5 days away...and there is hardly anything missing from my registry. I know that there will be only about 25 people at the shower....but, really, there is not much missing. I have been to so many showers and there are always so many gifts...I'm afraid everyone will be bored...with only 2 presents to open for me! Ugh....
It's very possible they did not buy your gifts from where you have your registry, OR they did not tell the people to take it off your registry. That happened to me quite a few times and I had to update my registry. Also, maybe they are having a themed shower for you, and so the gifts will not be from the registry. In any case, just relax, at least you're having a shower. Not every girl gets one.
Sweetie, don't worry- I just had mine, and there were so many things that I got that were not taken off the registries. I had about the same amount of people you will have. Like I said, don't worry- you'll be very surprised about how much you get!
I agree that people will buy at the last minute, or maybe stuff was ordered online and it hasn't come off because the order is being processed.
If you have friends that are like me, you'll see everything disappear the night before the shower!!! Dont worry about it. Most people shop at the last minute!!
I think a lot of people shop last minute. They will probably go out Thursday or Friday night to pick up something. We had a lot of people give us things we didn't register for from a totally different store so that may be the same case for you.
Don't be sad, its true, people buy at the last minute, or they just didn't say they were buying off a registry so the items weren't removed.
also another thought - it takes some stores longer than others to reflect when purchases have been made off of a registry - so there could be a lot purchased off of your list and the store just hasn't updated yet...I had a few stores take several weeks to update things I got off of the registry as christmas gifts
I regret to admit, but I am a same-day shopper. I always feel there's plenty of time before the shower and then it's here and I have to run to the store. Not to mention, a lot of times things don't come off the registry for whatever reason. I recently went to a shower where a friend and I bought the same gift and it was never removed.
Don't worry. You will be fine. You will get things off of your registry and things not from it. Don't sweat it! Not worth getting upset for.
between people buying last min. and some people like to give more personal things and not shop off the registry. also when I had my baby shower I got alot of doubles b/c ALOT of things were never taken off the registry when they were purchased! I had enough store credit at babies r us from returning all the extras I got, I bought a new bedding set ($170) a changing table ($350) and a rocking chair ($230). Dont worry!!!

Lots of times people don't tell the stores to remove items from your registry. I'm sure you will be 'showered' with beautiful gifts!

We got something for someone's eparty, but we decided to get it off Amazon instead of where they registered...it was more than $10 cheaper!
