BARRONS? See BHB if you dont know what Im talking about. What was the deal with that whole thing??

I read it but she never stated what happened. I must say I really was not impressed with what I saw when I went there but it was probably what I was looking for and they did not have it. But the lady was always so helpful. I did get what I needed but I will be taking to Barrons to have some work done.

what a cliff hanger. i just thought it was weird to make such a blanket statement and not explain. i wonder if anyone who FMed her actually got the story.

i was planning to check Barrons out bc i heard so many good things! well i guess its natural diff ppl will have diff experiences.

Yeah, I was wondering what that deal was too. I've never been to Barron's, but it seems strange to make such a strong statement and not back it up.

I FMed her and this is what she replied:

Well my bridesmaid who is also getting married 2 weeks after me had purchased a white wedding gown but unfortunately she had a problem with her dress and at the last minute she had to buy a new dress... an ivory dress. Well she purchased a white veil there a month ago but her dress is ivory so we went back there with the receipt and asked if we could exchange it for the same veil but in ivory...she said no. We told her the wedding is a month and a half away and she should put herself in my friends shoes..she said sure what shoes I have plenty of shoes. She then told us that the veil we had was not one of hers even though we had the receipt and the box she gave it to her in. She was very rude and not considerate at all. Luckily my friend paid by credit card and is now disputing the charges since the receipt does not say no returns or exchanges!

Whew. I'm glad I didn't have to tell the story! I went there once and I got a seriously bad vibe! Two weeks later I found the perfect veil at a bridal store but it was . Then I found it online at wedding accents $40 cheaper with free shipping! I'm so glad I listened to my gut! I love, love my veil and their prices weren't anything to rave about, unless maybe you found a $500 veil that they can make. For a two tier fingertip veil, with little embroidered embelishments, they qouted me $180. That was more than I wanted to spend on a veil. I don't know why she hasn't been on again or responded (maybe not online) but she had a legit gripe.

I got my veil there and didn't have a problem...I didn't try to return it though.....

Oh..This is the story.. I feel sorry for her but I think this is just an indivdual case.
and by hearing the story, I don't think they are thieves. Maybe the conditional of the veil is not that good so they won't exchange it, or just 1 sale lady is not professonal.
But it is good to know the whold story.

it does sound like she may have a legit gripe for sure, but her post was a bit off base and weird that she would have just anyone FM her for details but wouldnt just post. its not as if by not posting the facts she was saving Barrons any face, she had already called them theives! might as well have it be a helpful post for girls on here to read and not be bashful with details after such a harsh rant.JMO!

I worked in retail for years, and even though it does sound like she has a legitimate gripe, there's usually two sides to every story. I can't tell you how many times customers would try to rip off the store I worked in and think they were totally entitled to do so--and if we refused to let them get away with it, they'd curse and yell and threaten to call the BBB. To which we'd always say, 'Go ahead.' And it always seemed like the richer the person--the bigger the diamond rings and the more expensive the handbag--the worse the sense of entitlement and the filthier the language.

But, this just goes to show that you should always pay with a credit card because then you have some protection. (As long as you pay off the balance every month!)

The receipt may say no returns or exchanges but the cash register has a sign posted on it! I noticed this when i was looking and wasn't sure if I should buy the tiara b/c I wasn't sure I 100% loved it! I just remember that specifically!
