There has been a lot of talk on the boards in recent weeks about wedding insurance but not many people seem to have it (or don't post about it if they do have it).
Has anyone actually made a claim? Which companies have it - other than WedSafe.com?

Re: So, did anyone use it?
we researched it and decided against it. I would have gotten it though if I went with the tent wedding - weather protection.
I would only consider it if I was getting married outside, in the dead of winter, or during hurricane season.

I just wanted to add that I read through their standard contract and a lot of what they protect against is protection provided for in the vendors contracts. You can also add a rider to your homeowners for the things that you may want more protection on or isn't listed in the insurance contract. Plus, most, if not all, credit card companies provide for some recourse on the perils listed as they have to by Consumer Protection Acts.

Most halls we have seen do not take credit cards after the initial deposit so relying on the consumer protection act is a risk.

Re: So, did anyone use it?
My contract with the hall protected me against most, if not all, the perils protected by the wedding insurance. Do you have the percentage of claims to policies? I have a feeling it is very similar to accidental death insurance...
