So embarrassed...

So embarrassed...

So yesterday I brought my best friend to my photographer with me to help make up my album. Last time I brought her too and when I made a few suggestions to my photog. she said to me in front of the photog., 'why don't you just trust them.' I took what she said and was like ok fine'. Plus, what could I do after she says that to my photograher. Anyway, yesterday, once again I was making suggestions to my photographer and she chimes in 'joking' 'OMG, you are so difficult.' Then, she and the photographer start awkwardly laughing. I was really embarrassed that she did that because I seriously wanted to give my feedback, but then afterwards I just felt uncomfortable. Well, from now on I think I'm on my own again.

Aww. Don't be embarrassed. Maybe your BF and the photog have a little thing going on on the side and that is their little chuckle.

And remember, it is your album and your money, so you should make the decisions!!

Yeah, some ppl are weird like that. I have plenty of opinions and feel that if I'm paying you money to do something, I'd rather you not read my mind and just let me tell you what I want. Obviously you picked a photog that has your similar style, but you've also probably spent countless hours picking out 'must take photos' that he won't know you want unless you tell him.
Don't take your friend anymore. Take FI. He'll side with you. They're great like that

not cool

don't bring her anymore.

some people just don't get how important these things are to a new bride.

Re: So embarrassed...

I'm sure she really didn't meant to embarass you or make you feel bad for having your input but I would let her know how she made you feel for the future. IMO your photographer shouldn't have encouraged her either, I mean you're the one they're doing business with so they really should sit and listen to every little thing you have to say. I mean these are YOUR pics, not your friend's, not your photographer's, but YOUR wedding memories!!!!

I'm sorry you were embarrased but please remember YOU are paying for a service so speak your mind loud and clear!

I could see if you were having a bridezilla moment and she made a joke. Otherwise you are paying money for something that is going to last a long time.

Never be embarassed about expressing your opinion. You will have this album for the rest of your lives. Is your friend married? Does she understand how important our albums are?

Re: So embarrassed...

I think that was very rude of her to make you feel as though your opinions on your own album were insignificant, let alone verbalize that in front of the photographer. Don't take her to anymore appt & if she asks why, you should tell her the truth. Don't be afraid about being rude to her, she was very rude to you. I just don't get people sometimes. She sounds insecure.

Re: So embarrassed...

I suggest not taking your friend. If she can't be helpful then there is no need for you to not have your wedding album exactly the way you want it! I would embarrassed and hurt if my best friend did that to me. Also, you may need to have a little talk with her on what is appropriate and acceptable joking...

You spent way to much money to not be able to get exactly what you want!
