I am down 12 pounds . I am praying I reach my goal. Moving along. How early is everyone requesting their guests arrive. The ceremony starts at 5pm but I was thinking to put 4pm on the invitations.

our ceremony starts at 1130, but were putting down 11..i think an hour may be a bit much..jmo

Congrats!
Wedding invitations are supposed to have the correct start time. I think it's pretty much known that wedding times are NOT optional......they're supposed to start ON TIME

I know some people put an earlier time but I wouldn't put more than 30 mins... People who work on that day or make accomodations to get there on time would prob be pretty mad when they find out it was a whole hour off.. JMO

I think an hour its too much time for guests to be hanging around. Put the correct time or at least about half and hour before start time.

yay, congrats on your weight loss! keep up the good work...you are doing great.
Maybe put a half an hour earlier, but not more than that. Some guests will arrive earlier than your start time and then they will be waiting around for a really long time!!!

I'm actually putting down 11:00 on my invites; our ceremony starts at 11:30. FH's family is ALWAYS late to things and I hate tardiness. To compensate for early folks, my RH (we're getting married there) is going to offer our guests coffee and tea (the other option was a champagne punch, but FH's family is Muslim and most don't drink so we're sticking with tea and coffee).

I know my family is always late for stuff. Everyone has to be seated in the garden by 4:45 and The ceremony is going to start 5pm sharp. My RH has a VIP room for when the guests are early so i figured no one would notice.

I'm puting 30 minutes before. 1 hour is crazy. I went to a wedding where the bride was 1.5 hrs late and I was Pis*ed.
