SO excited I had to share!

So, a few weeks ago I had been calling tons of Catholic churches, trying to find one that is less restrictive than St. Hugh. I had chosen one in Greenlawn that one of the brides on here had used, and I thought that was that. Well, I just got a phone call from the Deacon at Corpus Christi in Mineola. I had wanted this church from the start b/c it's where my parents got married over 35 years ago! Deacon Brian is an absolute DOLL and told me that they have no photo restrictions and that if I have such a family connection as I do, it doesn't even matter that I am not a member of the parish, and that we can definitely get married there. Aside from the emotional aspect of being married where my parents were, this makes our lives SO much easier b/c our reception hall is in Roslyn - like 10 mins away!!! I wanna jump up and down right now LOL! I had to share with you ladies

That's so exciting! How nice to be married where your parents were, and convenient too! doesn't get much better, does it?

aww that's great!! So romantic. I wanted to do that too, but where my parents got married is far from our RH and they recently painted to doors bright blue...

not sure if you can get your hands on one of your parents wedding pics, but if you can, you can try to recreate the picture for your wedding.

My parents have a picture of their wedding where they are kissing & the church doors are open with the sun coming in & I love it so much that i plan to do the same pose.

But for you it would be even nicer since it's the same church.
