So excited that I had to repost!!! I just got FH the ultimate wedding gift

Jay, my FH was raised by his grandpa. He hasn't seen him in about 4 years. Grandpa hasn't been in the best of health but is doing well for a man of his age.... he just turned 98 on Thursday!! I know that Jay loves his grandpa to death, so I just ordered airline tickets (behind Jay's back of course) for him to come up for the wedding. I ended up paying for his uncle's ticket due to the fact that grandpa can't get around like he used to. ( A small price to pay to see the look on FH's face )

I even called the tuxedo rental and they told me that if grandpa comes in and gets fitted on Thursday (the day that he's flying in) they will have a tuxedo ready for him on Saturday morning before the wedding

That is such a beautiful gesture. I was raised by my Grandma and unfortunately she passed away 6 months before my wedding so I know just what huge deal this will be for your DH. I'm sure he will always be grateful for your wonderful gift.

That is a great gift, he is going to be so excited.
You better have a video camera running some where. Do you plan on not telling him, and just having his grandpa show up the day of the wedding.

Thats great! You can even ask for a wheelchair at the outside baggage check. He will be able to go to the beginning of almost every line including being searched which can sometimes be very long. That always helped my grandma out. Where is he flying from?

Also on some airlines you can check in online 24 hours before their flight. You just need to know their info. Then he wont need to wait on that line either.

I just got goose bumps. That is such and incredibly sweet and thoughtful idea. I have read a lot of posts asking what to buy FH for the wedding. I always try to think of something that he can use or keep for a long time. This is something that your FH will beable to keep with him forever. The momory of seeing his grandfather at his wedding will be priceless.

98... GOD BLESS HIM! And what a nice tuxedo place to come through for you! Who did you use for the tuxes? You have to give them a shout out for coming through in the clutch!

That's really great, I think that is an amazing gift.

I absolutely adored my Grandpa, unfortunately he passed away 8 years ago, I know what it would have meant to me for him to be here for my wedding.
