A whole Roasted Pig at the wedding....last night he came across this pic and actually seriously believed it was a good idea to do...

uuuuuuummmmmm...my vote is for NOT dressing up the food you are about to eat...Every single day I am more convinced FH is part BARBARIAN!!

LOL!! I have to sympathize because its so old school Italian to have a pig at the wedding and my dad wants me to get a roasting pig so bad ... so will we probably get one, but not decorated!!

The picture makes me very sad! I was so repulsed when looking through images of cocktail hour at NRC, seeing that this was an option.

Same with Italians! When I was in Italy with my fam, they thought it was so funny to go to the farm, chase down the pig, put it on the spit and roast it. I was HORRIFIED. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love bacon as much as the next gal, but I'm not down with hunting my food!

depends on the culture. I am croatian and I have been to very expensive weddings with a roasted pig. I think this is a croatian/italian thing. Even we may add it - debating.

OMG, we used to do this when I was little. One time when I was like 5 or 6, it was the holidays so we all went to the farm and I started playing with the animals, so we go see the pigs and I love this one and my grandad's like okay, so he picks another piggy out and im so excitied because I think we are taking it home - we did but not the way I thought! lol But its not the holidays without pig!

We are actually having a suckling pig at our cocktail hour. Its the one thing FH wanted so I had to let him have his way about something. I just hope the pig isnt dressed up like that one!

My RH actually has this at our cocktail hour..... um I saw it when i went for the food tasting and i almost cried.. I asked if they could just serve the meat without the head still being on staring at me and my guests.... FH on the other hand that it was 'sooooo cool'

Altho last summer my parents had a pig roast in the backyard and since i was drunk i thought it was cool and took a picture with the thing... I didn't like myself too much the next day when my mom showed me the pic!!!!

Edited to say the pig at my RH is not dressed up... I am going to have to really talk to FH about this, i cant be crying over a burnt pig on my wedding day

Larkfield does do it, and it was a HUGE hit at my wedding people loved it. It was so good.

Thats a great idea if you dont want a real one! Get him a grooms cake shaped like a pig!

This is so funny! Last week I was telling Fh that I wanted to add the suckling pig to the CH, and he was like'No way, that is not classy!'..... which got me thinking about it.... but after talking to my Spanish and Italian peeps, they were like,' Hell yeah! Lechon! '
