So I am getting married in PA, and therefore know we need a lot of rooms at the hotel for OOT guests. Our reception is at this hotel therefore we are excited to have our guests conveiniently staying in the same place. As of today, before inviations have even gone out mind you, 40 rooms booked. We get them in blocks of 20. And I go to ask them for another block and they tell me no! There are only 36 rooms left in the entire hotel! Yes I have another block of rooms at another hotel but that's not the point, now my invitations are being made and when people get them they won't be able to call and reference our wedding b/c we don't have a block! So how will they get the rate that i have on the invites??? I have a call into the manager there and I hope I can work this out...but right now it's really stressing me out...I hope it works out

They should absolutely give you 20 more rooms! Good idea to call the manager... You are giving them a TON a business & they should understand that....

I want to call family now (mind you my side has booked way in advance so everyone I want there is there) but since there is no block as of now they won't get the rate I was promised. So I have to wait till I clear it up.

Unfortuntely its a 1920's historical hotel so there is only 1....so there is no higher ups!

I have a similar situation, as the original hotel we booked is going to run out of rooms in my block, and the hotel is full so we can't book anymore. So I booked a block at another hotel nearby. If someone tries to book in the original hotel and the block is gone, they will refer the caller to the new hotel and let them know that we also have a block there. Do you think your hotel would do something like that?

I am just mostly frustrated not that it's filled, but that my invitations haven't even gone out, so the first batch of people to get the invites and call the hotel will think i'm nuts when they hear it's booked! lol Oh well we already have 40 people staying at the hotel which is a good amount of people...
