so frustrated.....

so frustrated.....

I am in desperate need of a job, I have spent the last week sending my resume by email, fax, calling places, asking around etc. It seems like I will never find a job.

I live in Whitestone, I'm willing to work in Manhattan, Queens, or Nassau which I think is a pretty large area -- and still i can't find anything.

I have office experience, I'm bilingual and still nothing. OMG what do I have to do to get a job? I'm so frustrated, FH is really being a pain in the butt and my mom is hounding me to keep looking. I am on the verge of screaming at the top of my lungs..... I wouldnt feel so pressured if it wasnt for the wedding, I just feel like it's getting closer and closer and I need to save more money

Sorry for the long post....I just needed to vent

i am SOOOO sorry i am in the same situation and it is extremely hard. Even working with a recruiter, and she said how summers are always slow and alot of places dont hire, of course this year its even harder. She started to get some things in such as merrill and those companies, and then right at that time all this other stuff happened i couldn't believe my luck. I was looking forward to after labor day for things to come in and its gotten even harder recently. Only good thing is that i had been covering for my friend for a few weeks while she was on her hm. But now its back to searching, i cant take it anymore either.

i've been looking for awhile now, and haven't found anything either... interviews are few and far in between! i actually totally re-vamped my resume... i make it into a tri-fold brochure in color with clip art (not too over the top though)on microsoft publisher. i was at an interview where the interviewer said to imagine you are in human resources and hiring 1 person for 1 position and you have a stack of over 100 resumes. what are you going to do to make yours stand out??? just some advice! hey, i have nothing to lose! give it a shot!

i had my recruiter change my resume. It just s*cks bc theres not alot out there. I keep in contact with her and talk to her often and she just waits for things to come in. I spoke to her this week and she said once she has something she'll let me know. And actually this summer i went to 3 recruiting agencies and now that unemployment has gone up by alot, its even harder.
