so frustrated!!!! need opinions please

So i recently sent out all my save the dates and I was so excited that they were done! My FMIL was here for a visit and she was suprised that some family members didn't recieve one. I didn't have the 10 extra family members on my list for the wedding. We are too close to our number to begin with.

When I was looking for a reception hall she originally told me that only 30 people would be coming from their side because they were all OOT . Now it is more like 60!!!! We can't invite anymore people but she is just inviting who she wants without checking in with us!

I can't fit these extra 10 guests without taking some others off of our list which I don't think is fair.

Any suggestions on what I should do? I am very upset and very frustrated!

i wouldnt do anything... tell her that she shouldnt have told you that only 30 people would be coming..

im sorry but i have no patience for that sort of thing...

I would not send them a save the date. Although it might be in your best interest to invite a few extra people on average 20% of the people you invite will decline. I would tell your FMIL the extra 10 people will go on your B list...It is her own fault for not including them in the original list...do not let her make you feel bad or frustrated.

B list. My dad just sprung an extra two invitations on me the other day......after all of my invites have been printed and calligraphed. I told him they would be on the b-list.
