So Fustrated with UPS and DELL !

I decided to order my DH a wireless laptop for the holidays , and our 2 year anniversary. I place the order on 11-7-05. Was told it would ship in 3 days. get an e mail it was sent UPS on 11-10-05. Today it should have been here. I call UPS they say it is somewhere in NJ. I call Dell, I get someone that can hardly speak English on the phone, which fustrates me to NO END, and then I ask for a supervisor, and I am told they have to put in a lost claim ticket for it, to give it 3 days and then they will rebulit a new computer, in the meantime it can show up. So now DH knows about his gift becuase I was pretty ticked off at DELL and UPS, and it is going to be not here when they promised and I am sure it will be further delayed becuase of the hoilday rush orders. Thanks for letting me vent. Is it possible UPS will find it or do you think it is MIA or someone stole it out of UPS?????
PS If it was a 25.00 order I would be angry but not this upset, it cost a lot of $$$

My dad ordered one and well, it kind of never came. It ended up in someones HANDS!!!

They have an issue w/delivery!
Eventually it came but like 3 wks later.

ugghhh i hate dell..i used to work in computers and it takes like 2 hrs on the phone being transfered around, to resolve a simple issue. their customer service *****!!! they will probably send you a new one soon

UPS is horrible! I'm sorry if that offends anyone, but it's the God's honest truth! Anytime something is sent by UPS it either winds up lost or damaged...amazing how they stay in business. That's not Dell's fault though because they did send it out in a timely fashion and there is only so much they can do. I have known people who used to work for the company and lets just say I would not be exactly surprised if someone stole it.

ok I dont want to scare you or anything but 2 years ago I ordered my laptop from Dell... it was supposed to be delivered by UPS as well... so once I got my tracking number I would check every day to see when it is to be delivered... so ok every day it would show on a truck for delivery but would never be actually delivered... anyways, to make long story short I never received the laptop, Dell
had to make another one for me and they send it to me by Fed Ex...
your story makes me wonder if UPS is running some underground business of stealing computers

sounds odd...

i have never lost a package from DELL, or from anybody.

Even the USPS gets me my stuff (even if i have to wait forever)

And i get stuff delieveried regulary. I just hate when they leave it outside no signature required.
