So happy right now

In 2003, my mother's only sibling died of brain cancer. He was like a second father to me, and I took his death really hard. I still think of him every day, and it upsets me he won't be around for my big day. He was an antique dealer, and used to always find us really great accent pieces for big events. Both of my older sisters wore antique jewelry from him on their wedding day.

Well, I just came home from work right now and my mother was sitting at the dinner table with a small box of jewelry. She had forgotten he given her a few pieces of jewelry before he died. Well...in the box was the most perfect pair of antique chandelier earrings for my wedding!!!! She picked them up and showed them to me, and I burst into tears. It means so much to me to wear a piece of jewelry from him I honestly think my heart could burst. I know he would be so excited for me to wear them. I'm so excited to wear them!!!!!!!!
