So has it been established all ready?

That the 05 board no longer has to do with weddings, but more about newlywed life?

I think we could really pick up traffic if we chat about newlywed stuff...

With this in mind...... Does anyone have an easy recipe for meatloaf? I cant believe I dont know how to make this.

No... but I have a great recipie for turkey burgers that I can't see why you can't make meatloaf out of the same recipie. DH went nuts over them. This is also a great low-carb meal because your not using bread crumbs.

1 package of ground turkey/beef
1 red pepper/diced
1 green pepper/diced
mushrooms diced (small) -- any mushrooms will do or you can leave them out if you don't like them. the amount is up to you
spoonful of tomato paste
drizzle of olive oil
salt & pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste (up to you)
about a half a cup of parmesean cheese (grated)

Mix it all up good, pat into hamburger patties and cook in pan with olive oil.

Again, I can't see why you can't make a meatloaf out of the same recipie.

Re: So has it been established all ready?

my aunt gave me a SUPER EASY one for the days you work and want meatloaf, but don't have the time...

take one pound of ground beef
mix in one packet of lipton ' garlic and herb' dry soup mix
bake for one hour at 350

THATS IT!!! can you beleive it?? its not quite as good as a 'Regular' meatloaf, but its definitely perfect for those days when you're craving it but don't feel like choping up the onions and all that.
you can also use the same thing to make meatballs, too

ETA: came home and double checked... you have to add one egg, too

Here is a traditional receipe too:

1 1/2 lb of chopped meat
(I usually do have turkey and half beef)
1 egg
1/2 cup of chopped red peppers
1/2 cup of chopped green peppers
1 small onion chopped
2 tablespoons of wosthershire(sp?) sauce
1 packet of onion soup mix
1/4 cup of milk
1/4 cup of parmasean cheese
1/2 cup of italian style breadcrumbs
Mix well and cook in a 350 oven for about 50 minutes.

Not as healthy as the last poster( which sounded yummy by the way) but my husband loves it.

I take chopped meat, mix it a packet of lipton onion soup mix, 8 oz of tomato sauce and 1 cup of bread crumbs and 1 egg. I bake it at 400 and put a thin layer of tomato sauce on the top.

That's the quick recipe.

Re: So has it been established all ready?

this is what I do...

I use chop meat- i like the beef/turkey/pork mix

mix in , ketchup, garlic, onion, some BBQ sauce, and the 'secret' Onion Soup MIx - 1 packet, I like to add carrots as well....1 egg, some bread crumbs

mix it all together... oven on 350 for about 35 minutes...but it could take less or a little longer... check it by cutting it,

It could not be easier and FH loves it... I usually make potatoes and put them in the same tin to cook.. comes yummy

Actually, I can't take credit for it, it's a Rachel Ray recipie, but again DH LOVED them when I made them.

Re: So has it been established all ready?

I'm not a newlywed, but my mom gave me this really easy recipe for 'italian' meatloaf

ground beef or turkey mixed with one or 2 eggs depending on the amt of meat, breadcrumbs, parsly, garlic, and some water, mozzarella either the shredded kind or cut into pieces. mix it together then mold into a loaf. Pour tomato sauce on the bottom of the pan and then over the meatloaf and bake at 350. its so yummy!
