So I had ALL the flights booked for the honeymoon MONTHS ago. I just checked and they changed the flights!! Which they NEVER informed me about. They had us leaving TWO DAYS after we were supposed to. Well.. here's what they did...
We were leaving on the 19th. They cancelled ALL weekday flights leaving st lucia. So they had us flying out of St Lucia on the 21st but kept the connecting domestic flight for the 19th!!!?!??! Does that make ANY SENSE???
So I of course put up a HUGE stink and got my FULL refund from them. Now I'm BACK on hold with them trying to get the refund to go through ASAP so I can book this wonderful non-stop flight on Air Jamaica.
SO ANNOYED right now!!!!!

And they wouldn't compensate for anything! I was like, so, are you going to pay for the extra two days at Sandals for us?
What makes me sad is that I ONLY fly Delta! I love that airline. Well.... NOT anymore!
I guess it all works out in the end because this Air Jamaica flight is non-stop and is only about 3 1/2 hours long. Not bad not bad

Oh it's getting worse and I can't even go into it. It's way too long and confusing. Delta has EVERELY screwed up withe me today!!
I'm STILL holding to get this credit on my credit card and no one seems to know what the heck is going on!!

Document everything, print out the screwed-up itinerary. Your credit card company should fight for you to get the refund. Don't stress. You will get the refund!
But - do you have enough credit on your card to book the new flight while you're waiting for the credit to show?

NO!! That's why I am trying to get Delta (IDIOTS) to call my cc company and ok the credit immediately so I can book now. Now I'm waiting for Delta to call me back because the girl in international refunds is not there.
So annoying. I have literally been on with them since 9am.

I had a very similar situation with my trip to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Keep calling until you get someone in the US and don't let them off the phone till it's done. It is possible for them to refund right away... trust me, they did it for me.
I had booked through Expedia so the people in India kept telling me it wasn't possible. I just called and hung up until I got a person in the US on the phone.
Keep compalining.... I got a $200 credit to use in the future AFTER my full refund. In this case it will pay to be persistent.
I know it *****, but it will all work out!!!

As far as I know... Delta is NOT flying during the week to St. Lucia anymore. I noticed that weird itinerary issue while checking on-line and I called. They informed me that they're only flying out (and to) St. Lucia weekends. But don't quote me on that... my brain is fried from being on hold with them fr 4 hours
I'd check with them!!!!
I am NOW DONE!! After 4 hours on the phone with them I am through!!! I got a full refund for my flights, however, I am only getting partial credit right now due to the fact that I had a pre-existing credit. My cc has to wait for the paperwork from Delta to get to them BEFORE they issue full credit. SO AGRAVATING!!!!
We are NOW booked on Air Jamaica... non-stop, 4 hour flight. Better times and NOT with Delta.

They already ruined their reputation. They are notorious for overbooking flights also.
