i know 2 couples who went there.
one loved it and the other couple (my MOH and BM) said it was ok nothing impressive and wouldnt recommend going.

with a 50/50 review we didnt bother looking. but i have heard many people rave about it

I read a review that called Sandals a 'bedroom factory' and didn't look into them any more after that.

FH and I are going to St. Lucia for our HM... we've always stayed at off the beaten path, nice places. We're staying at Ladera (beautiful resort in the mountains) and Almond Morgan Bay (all-inclusive right on the beach). Check into them instead!

I have been there! I went to the Halcyon and I wouldn't recommend it. I also wasn't overly impressed by it, the rooms weren't all that nice and the beach wasn't the white sand, blue water that you would expect from an Island in the Caribbean. The food was good though at the restaurants, not as much at the buffets. We visited the Grande and the other Sandals resort (cant remember the name) and they seemed a bit nicer than the Halcyon, much bigger and many many more people, had bigger beaches and more restaurants that you can choose from.

I disagree about the water. We stayed at the Regency and the water was clear and the sand wasn't super white, but it wasn't as dark as it is up here. We didn't visit the Halcyon, but the Grande was defintely more hotel like, with everything closer together. The Regency is more spread out with smaller buildings and there are shuttles taking you everywhere, though it's really not that far to walk. I wouldn't say it's the nicest place in the world, but we had a great time.

I went to the Sandals Grande St. Lucia and we had the best time ever....
Everything was perfect, the room, the pool, beach, tours, etc.
The food is not the best but it was still very good...
Its only a short bus ride to the other sandals resorts

i'm so jealous- i SOOOOOoo wanna go to St Lucia sandals- have been resarching like crazy on here and alot of girls have been saying GREAT things about the Grande mostly.....
we even went to the travel agent and she said it was great-
the only thing is there is no direct flight to the bigger airport and Fh does NOT like to fly so we're trying to look for a island with a direct flight.
