awww how swweet!!!
well, we had been discussing getting engaged, but we were moving and it wasn't a top priority. after we were settled in, i decided i wanted to get a kitten...but fh said, lets enjoy not having a pet for awhile (my old roomies had a dog).
i worked an excruciatingly long and painful day at work and when i came home i was ready to die! but fh said he had a surprise, and made me sit in a chair with my eyes closed. he put someting in my lap and when i opened them, i had a tiny kitten in my hands!!!!!! he had a little blue collar with a bell on it, and i was overjoyed with my new little bundle. i lifted the kitty up to my face and i noticed that the ball was in fact and e-ring, and when i looked at fh he was giggling and on one knee, and said, 'i don't wanna come home to a girlfriend anymore, i want to come home to a wife. will you marry me?'
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh memories

Re: so how did he do it?
We were on a cruise for my bday/our 7-year anniversary/and V-Day combined.
It was V-day and we had reservations at the Supper Club (fancy restraunt) on the ship, so I went to go get pampered at the salon onboard.
When I got back to our room, he had asked the stateroom steward to make two swans in the shape of a heart out of the towels (the towel animals they make on cruises evrynight). In the center of the heart was ring box. And I burst into tears as soon as I saw it.
Then we went and had a nice, romantic dinner, and took professional pics onboard the ship. It was the best night ever

Re: so how did he do it?
Mike and I went to Discovery Cove in Orlando. When we arrived we were told we had gotten a complimentary upgrade and were led to a hidden beach area overlooking the dolphins. It was very nice and totally private with a table, lounge chairs, towels and a mini fridge stocked with drinks.
We did some funs stuff in the park, including a dolphin swim. When it was over, everyone got out of the water but they called Mike and me back. There's a photographer and videographer in the water taping the interactions. They said our pictures didn't come out, so they were going to re-shoot them. They did a couple pictures, then the dolphin swam off and brought a buoy back to us. The buoy said 'Will you marry me'. I had to double check that it was actually Mike asking and not the dolphin before I said yes!
We went back to the private cabana which they had decorated with flowers while we were with the dolphins. The ring was waiting in a treasure chest on a pedestal and Mike got down on one knee and did the traditional proposal. They also had champagne and chocolates waiting on the table and framed photos we had taken when we came into the park. Dolphins are one of my favorite animals, so this was a perfect proposal for me. . I never envisioned getting engaged while wearing a wetsuit, but aside from that it was absolutely perfect!

FH and I had our first date almost two years ago under the Rockefeller center Christmas tree. it was most fitting that almost two years to the date, he took me back to the tree and proposed right under it. It took my breath away. I am marrying my best friend and we couldn't be happier.

After church FH told me that he needed to get this video game from the mall that he wanted. When we got to the mall we went to the jewelry store. The salesman handed him the ring and he told me that he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.

I can't say it was as romantic as all your proporsals..it was just low-key. We were on the couch watching tv, he told me to close my eyes and put the box in my hand and asked 'do you want to marry me'..and of course i said yes! after shaking and being speechless for 5 minutes.

Re: so how did he do it?
We were talking about taking a vacation together. So we finally decided on going to Paris since he's never been out of the country before. It crossed my mind that he might propose because if he were to do it, Paris would be the perfect opportunity... but I didn't count on it because of 2 reasons... 1) He's been saying that he wanted to wait until he got his raise from the city (he's a city cop) before us getting married and 2) I just wanted to spend time with him in Paris and not think about anything else but that.
So... the second day we were there we went to Versailles. We walked around for a few hours and had lunch there. After lunch, the fountains in the gardens were being turned on so we started walking around. We went to this one garden and I was taking a ton of pictures. I turned to him and said 'okay, let's go to the next garden I got a lot of pictures' and he said 'let's just sit down and enjoy the view' So we did and I began to take more pictures.... and all of a sudden he gets down on his knee and opens this box... he was so nervous that all that came out of his mouth was 'baby, will you?' it was so freggin cute!!!! I was hysterical crying after that. It was so perfect

Re: so how did he do it?
Mine to most girls wouldn't seem romantic... but you have to understand that i LOVE football and through the past three years of dating my FH I changed from and Eagles fan to a Giants fan. So, when the team that no one thought would make it won, he decided to also show everyone that the long distance couple that no one thought would make it through 3 years of living apart could make it too! After his friend left, he had come over to watch the game, we were jumping up and down in celebration and he stopped and got on one knee... I have no clue what he said, or if I even let him have time to say anything... I was so overwhelmed! Too much excitement in one night!

Re: so how did he do it?
FH decided to surprise me with a fun activity one weekend. We left in the morning and headed out to the Peconic River. He took me canoeing down the river, which was beautiful and very scenic. During the trip we came to a spot and got out of the canoe to have lunch. He had packed my favorite sandwich and dessert. As we finished eating we sat next to each other, with his arm over my shoulder staring out at the scenery. I started to comment on it saying how beautiful and romantic it was. He began to say, “you know what would make this even better”, as he got down on one knee… “If you would be my wife.” I just stared at him in disbelief as he pushed the ring towards me and I finally looked down to acknowledge it. He then took out a bottle of champagne for us to enjoy. We put the canoe back in the water and I don’t think I ever paddled so hard in my life, because all I wanted to do at that point was get home and tell EVERYONE I knew!

Re: so how did he do it?
Fh planned a trip to disney and invited my best friend and her hubby. To make a long story short we were supposed to be going to surprise her since her hubby was taking her on a mini vacation there.. or so I thought. Any way she played the shocked part very well and screamed and cried when she say me, that night we had dinner in the castle and when they brought out dessert my ring was sitting in a glass slipper on top of rose petals! It was amazing
