So how does it work when you get hair extensions?

So how does it work when you get hair extensions?

I imagine you find a piece that's close enough to your hair. Now, naturally you won't necessarily find the right length...do you bring this to your hairstylist and they cut it properly? or even highlight it if need-be?

Im not sure how other brides are doing it but i am getting my hair extensions directly from my hair stylist. A week before my wedding i am supposed to see her so she can match my hair color to the extensions she will put into my hair. She will be worrying about the coloring, length and highlighting.
