i have have have to finsih this paper for class - i hvae been half doing it all wekend but it is due tomorrow night after a busy day at work!!!

went out to lunch with my grandma, showed her all of the stuff toma nd i have for our new life together. and soon i get to go to michael's with my mom to buy some yellow ribbons to decorate with for my brother's arrival! then i think i might get some progress reports out of the way! sorry to everyone who doesn't have off today!!!

We dont' get today off (not surprised) but we are working next Monday as well! In my 5 years here we haven't had Columbus day off once

I don't have off either day. We only get 5 holidays and I'm lucky if I can even get those off. Oh well

we have 9 holidays and four of those are thanksgiving and xmas. New Years is usually the 5th and then add in 4th of July and Labor Day.
Memorial Day and President Day round out the group.
So I'm working today and next Monday. My next 'holiday' is Thanksgiving.. whooohoo The only good that day is for me is Football and eat till you burst. I've always had very dark feelings about that day because I don't like it's origin. My family thinks it's a slap in the face, I tend to agree.
But it's two days off work. Can't complain too loudly.

it's a jewish holiday so public schools have off! all the rest of you have to stay and work! one of the many reasons i love love love being a teacher!!!

Working today and my office is open on Columbus Day but I am not working since it will be my 1 year anniversary! Yay!
