So how many of us are getting married on Long Island but don't live there?

me! originally from Jersey, living in PA now for grad school, getting married on LI. My dad lived there for like 10 yrs before he passed in 04 and I just feel at peace when Im there and we have good memories from visiting him there and stuff. So its a special place for me and sisters.

Me! But I was born and raised on LI and only recently moved to NJ- last August actually.

me!!!! I am originally from Queens... went to Undergrad at Stony Brook... Moved to Philly for Med School and am still living in Philly finishing up my residency. FH lives in Miami

you can count me in! i grew up on LI, but moved to Tucson, AZ with FH almost 3 yrs ago. we had just graduated college and he was going to start his phd in biochem at the U of A and i figured, well, now is as good a time as any to check out another part of the country - no job, no kids, no friends left on LI. so, i picked up and left with him. i miss the east though, pretty damn bad. i'm already counting down the days til he becomes a Dr. and i can get the hell out of here! tucson's pretty cool though, it just gets boring and HOT after awhile

Me! I grew up in Smithtown and so did FH, but we moved to Raleigh, NC two years ago. All of our friends and family (and good memories) are on LI, so of course we will be getting married there!

Me! I grew up in VA and now live and work in Westchester. FH is from LI, though and we wanted to get married closer to where most of his family and our friends live, so LI is our place!

We both went to school in Long Island, then move to the city and we are getting married in Long Island.
