So I am finally giving in!

My parents are letting us build an apartment upstairs to live in for a few years so we can save for a house. We started construction in January 2007.

Now I was going to make the front room into the living room and the middle room into the bedroom so you would have to walk through the bedroom to get to the living room. Doesn't make sense right. Well, the front room is RIGHT ABOVE MY PARENTS' BEDROOM! So I figured, to preserve our newlywed sanity - that would be the best thing.

BUT since we started construction. . . every single person in the world has told me what a bad idea that is. . . that people will have to walk through the bedroom to get the living room. . .. why would we do that. . . its silly. . .i mean EVERYONE! Even people who have come to work on the apartment!

It is so annoying bc its not like i can EXPLAIN my reasoning to them! So finally today, like two days before we paint and really start finalizing I GAVE IN! I was like FINE put the bedroom in the front I dont care!!

ACK! I hope I dont regret my decision. . .I guess we'll just have to get creative with places that we celebrate our newlywedness!

Well, now that you have to be a little bit more creative, that could lead to some fun times!!!

lmfao, one time I overheard my roomates...errr...celebrating. well soon after that we went to dave and busters together and she won a kazoo and now we have this running joke that next time she should use a kazoo when she is 'at the best part of the celebration' ...hey anything to throw them off right?

all I can say is practice 'TANTRA' and get a solid bed that doesn't squeak

Too funny!! Maybe try middle of the night.. or just 'celebrate' in the living room. You can lock the doors cant ya?

I seriously want to soundproof everything. . . well not REALLY soundproof it so we can record a hit album or anything just put some extra padding underneath the carpets when we put them in.

I am going to blame it on teh dog - you know, i wouldnt want to keep my parents up at night with brutus running back and forth. . . i am so considerate!

HA! LOL yeah we will balance on just one foot while suspended from the ceiling. . . sounds awesome!

we live upstairs from my dad. I get paranoid about him hearing things lol. thank god he's a heavy sleeper! seriously we can blast music up here, have people over and he doesn't hear anything. even banging on his door to try to wake him up doesn't wake him.

you can always soundproof just the bedroom!

But seriously, they can definatly just soundproof the floor in your bedroom...ask them before they put down the carpets...
