Ok drum roll please............


These cookie Jars wrapped up w/ white tulle and tied on top with a red satin ribbon. and I will attatch a large heart shaped cookie cutter to the ribbon. and a recipe inside for sugar cookies.

All my bridesmaids have offered to get together and bake heart shaped sugar cookies and add a few to each jar but I am still debating on that part.. might be too much work!


What do you girls think??

Thank you!! I thought it was really original but still useful. Its a big 1 gallon glass cookie jar.. and I was able to tie it into my theme by adding the red ribbon and the heart shaped cookie cutter

Also, since you said you might not want to have your BM's bake cookies because it's alot of work, I've seen those jars done with the ingredients for the cookies already in the jar. That could be an alternative.

Yes actually one of my bm's suggested that last night. I was thinking maybe after vday when the pillsbury heart shaped sugar cookies in the package go on sale I can just buy alot of those ... use like half a pack in each jar... hmmmm

Awesome idea!! What if instead of making cookies you did one of those layer deals inside the jar with the ingredients to make sugar cookies??

I know!!! thanks they are going to cost a little bit but I really love that they arent cookie cutter favors - pardon my pun!!

I like that idea also I was thinking I can get the ingrediants in bulk from BJ's. FH dosent like the idea for some reason...
Its a big jar.. 1 gallon how much do you think it would take to fill it?? Would it look cheesy if I left them empty? I wanted to add a personal touch but they are already costing a bit more then expected...

But seriously those are great favors - are you doing all the assembling yourself or paying a place to put it together? I am so excited for you because this is definitely something different!!!!

I know!! I kept going back the the favor store and felt like everything was so .... BLAH!!! lol i've seen it all a hundred times and nothing impressed me.. I know its silly to go crazy over favors I just felt like I was settling with everything else and I dont like that feeling.

Unfortunatly I will have to be doing all the assembly .. thank goodness my bms have offered to help. I am getting the jars from one place the tulle from rag shop and the cookie cutters from another! and printing out the sugar cookie recipes myself

Well its not that bad since you will have some help plus you are saving money doing it yourself! Its really a great idea!!!!

It was a tie between this and 2 other things.. one Joe hated so I ruled that one out

and then this one was actually ALOT less complicated then the other one so it won!
