So I got for my chix pox shot tomorrow

I was going to drive in to work and leave early for the dr's but with this RAIN I can't.

But I have to go they ordered it special for me. And has to be kept cold. They don't have a fridge right now and so once the dry ice is gone the med is useless. I will now have to take a 1/2 day so that I can take the right train home and then drive to his office.

What a pain. All for the baby. I'm making sacrifices for my kid and I'm not even TTC'ing yet!

About it being delivered cold - it has to be frozen when it's delivered. Well it sayd on the package 'keep frozen' but it was still liquid. Probably doesn't freeze up.

I am sure your dr. had it on ice and you just hadn't realized it when you got the shot.

Shot 2 next month!

Well I would have not been so concerned but my gastroenterologist (scary I can spell that from memory ) wanted me to because I take a drug for my Crohn's disease that lowers my immune system. So that coupled with the fact taht I never got it and getting it as an adult can be horrible....better safe than sorry.

I never had them either but was tested and found out I had immunity - so you never know.

I think you can be a carrier - ie: have immunity from it but never actually have it. My friend is like that - never had it but was a carrier. She gave it to her sister and her sister got it so bad she was out for 6 weeks from school. Also gave it to half her class.
