So I had Zoom Whitening done on Saturday!

So I had Zoom Whitening done on Saturday!

and it was honestly the best decision of my life. I know it's kind of 'shallow' to think that way but it honestly made a difference to me b/c I was always conscious about my teeth.

Fortunately, it was a wedding present from my uncle who's my dentist so it was free! The entire process took a little over an hour, and the results are amazing. I was really skeptical going into it but my teeth are now pearly whites!

Sorry, haven't taken any before or after pictures, but I did see Jessica on Saturday right after the procedure and she can vouch for me!

My teeth were pretty sensitive on Saturday, but that's it. I'm restricted in what I can eat, so I'm stuck eating and drinking white and clear for a week, but it's well worth it - lots of carbs.

I would recm'd it to anyone!

I've been hearing good thoughts about this, and I have been considering it but I haven't spoken to my dentist about this yet. How long were you soar. And is this something that has to be done often like a basic cleaning w/ a stronger effect? and will insurance pay for this of is this considered cosmetic. Sorry for the questions, just a little curious?

Unfortunately it's not covered by insurance as it is cosmetic. The average price is about $500. As far as my sensitivity, it didn't bother me, it was similar to when you have a cavity and you 'suck' air into your mouth and you get that little sting.

HOWEVER, everyone is different and there's no way to determine what your amount of pain might be. There are people like me who don't feel a thing, and then there are others that feel everything, and that's when you start doping up on the motrin. The sensitivity is due to dehydrating your teeth which the process does.

No, there is nothing as strong as professional bleaching out there. It chemically removes the stains on your teeth and then bleaches them over.

Thanks. The reason why I asked is b/c one of my co-workers had it done but she was secretive, and snotty about it And quite frankly w/ all of that smoke slash coffee crud on her teeth she needed it, and it looked like she had nothing done everytime I would look at her teeth. Not to mention she acted like she had both wisdoms pulled the next day. Knowing her she probably didn't have it done (she lies alot) Anyway I going to look into it Thursday when I go in for my regular cleaning

Eta: $500 isn't that bad considering the works thats getting done
