so I have the hiccups and....

the phone rings and everyone else is out of the office today, so I have to answer it...I was hiccupping into this poor woman's ear. She was none too thrilled...even though I explained that I had the hiccups. I am laughing all by myself right now.

Oh God I hate the hiccups so much!!!!!!!

When I get a bad case of them, nothing will work to get rid of them.

Thanks, I finally got rid of them...after drinking a ton of water.

I have done that before.

FI has the best cure for the hiccups. Next time a friend, co-worker or whoever has the hiccups, take out like a 20 or 50 dollar bill and put it close to their face and say 'hiccup one more time and its yours' It never works out!!! I think the factor makes the hiccups go away. But warning: you can only use it once on the same person.

i hate them, i always have to put salt on the tip of my tounge to stop it

Sometimes with mild cases rubbing my earlobes will relax the hiccup reflex.

Otherwise if you have them while out drinking ask the bartender for bitters and sugar on a lemon wedge. Eat the wedge (leave the rind). I sounds horrible and tastes worse but it really works!!! It's actually called the bartender's cure for hiccups.
