it was held in brooklyn . and it was very fun and very different . i thought i would share with you ladies
1st everyone had to wrap the gifts in clear wrapping paper . it was a viewing party.(they had all the gifts displayed on a long table) she did not open the gifts there(which was kinda cool i think because sometimes it takes 4eva to open those gifts lol)
and they had a dj - it was soooooooooo much fun . we all had a great time
it was very very different & fun i don't know about anyone else but i do (im not going to lie) get bored at showers sometimes lol
who wants to sit there and watch someone open gifts for 3 hours lol

i agree! Sometimes they can be kinda boring after a while. How did they get everyone to go with the clear wrapping though? i think that's a great idea!

Sounds like fun. How was the food? I want a fun, relaxed shower. Maybe a bbq. Wait, that won't work because I am getting married in January and the shower will be in the fall/winter! Oh well. Did they play any games at the shower?

well on the invites it said 'viewing party' i did not know what is was im sure no one else did but when i called to respond i asked and she said wrap in clear paper or dont wrap at all lol
the food was good. no games just dancing for 4 hours lol

A visual party..ah yes..exactly what I want for my shower. It eliminates the 2 hrs of unwrapping and letting everyone see what you have and get to mingle and eat in 2hrs..... I think its a cool idea but does take away from unwrapping and who gave what.

Sounds very different. I think I'd like that bec. I HATE being the center of attention and to sit there opening gifts for 2 hours while everyone is staring is not my idea of fun.

i know my mom has started planning she is not good at keeping things a secret lol she leaves papers around from each place that she has been too that has the menu and stuff on it.
all i know is my shower is going to be in a nice place (from what i seen so far lol)

I agree with you on the getting bored part. Especially if its a family member or a friend u rarely see and u know no one there. That makes a 3-4 hour afternoon feel like 5-6 hour afternoon. However, when its someone close to u, they r a blast.
NWR-baby showers, now those r crazy boring to me.

i know what you mean. I told my bp and my mother what i want. i know i am not suppost to have any say in it. i said i want it to be fun,(games) I want a brunch like from 11-2 so this way not everyones day is taken up. I also get bored at showers too. ugh the viewing part sounds good and the dj i like that idea. hmmmm I have to plan some friends showers too all good ideas. thanks
