And it's not really a card, well, not at all. I bought a wooden heart from Michael's, spray painted it metallic gold, then wrote in calligraphy the names and table number on it and it looks SO cute! Not cheesey like I thought it would. Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera to show it But since our colors are white with gold accents, I thought these would be cute and different. I might put a little white satin bow at the top of the heart just to tie in the white, but it looks very nice.

Ok, so my mother said they looked homemade, DUH, they were, but I think that I will need to prime then paint the hearts to give them a little more of a polished look, but I really like the idea. Even if it's a little cheesey, it's different.

We used one of those new thin tipped sharpies. Permanent marker. I used a matte paint on one side and a glossy one on the other, and the matte took the marker better. We'll see what we will actually use later on. But at least FMIL has SOME use to her, she can do calligraphy!
