Good thing they were free with the 5pc place setting purchase... I DID register for them separately but I'm glad they were free b/c I would have returned them all!
Sooooooooooo, my point being, china soup bowls may not be necessary for you. Unless you like that fancy stuff. Ditto for accent plates...

This is one reason I am glad some companies have gone to the 4 pc place setting. The bowls seem to be a little meatier i guess and a mug instead of a saucer.
However, this is coming from a girl that isn't going to register for china and will only have one set of everyday dishes. My mother has her china and her mother's china, so I will get that.

i like DEEP soup bowls . . . i just dont get the point of the shallow ones they are like one centimeter deep!
I ordered them but I am on the lookout for DEEP soup bowls to match . . . for every day they have them at the 99cent store sometimes.
My mom has great ones but she got the whole set at the gas station. . . they used to do promotions with glasses, bowls, silverware so that is where all of our stuff is from! except for our serving bowls those are from bank promotions LOL

I brought my parents along when we registered----they kept insisting that I needed things like that. My FH and i went online later and changed soooo much. If you don't really need it, don't register for it!

try target!!! i got a great bowl to use for EVERYTHING yeah its kinda oversized but they had 'normal' sized ones too...
for the larger bowls look around for dorm room stuff...
