So I sort of spoiled my own shower!

So I sort of spoiled my own shower!

So I don't want to know too much about my shower. For the most part I don't know what's going on, except for a few hints here and there. A few weeks ago, I was looking through a calendar on the fridge and one Saturday in July and one in August were circled. I was annoyed b/c I couldn't believe my mom would leave something like that out for me to see, but I got over it.

Now FH and I are trying to plan our food tasting, along with our parents. The BM gave us a few dates to come in. They didn't work and I asked FH to pick another date b/c it's his schedule that is the problem. They want us to come on a Saturday and FH said July would be better. Without even thinking, I asked my mom if a Saturday in July would work for her. She paused and then laughed and was like I guess so Melissa. It took me a second and then I realized why she did that. Her laugh was kind of saying 'I've tried to keep this a secret and now you will probably figure out that your shower is not in July, if I say ok to a food tasting!'

So now I feel bad about it and I'm disappointed I figured something out. I'm trying to act like nothing happened and that I didn't realize anything. I told FH we have to go at the end of May instead b/c it's messing up shower plans!

I know people find out, I was just trying so hard to help my mom out (b/c i'm still living at home) and not find out about it. I'm also bummed that I was so stupid to ask that question. but whatever, you're right, it's not that big of a deal! I might even forget again!
