So I spoke too soon...
So I had though FMIL had come around and actually starting to see what an @ss FBIL is... I think I spoke too soon. APPARENTLY FILs drove down to DC to meet FBIL's girlfriend of six weeks (the one he's proposing too from my other post) AND to meet her parents... FUNNY... I have been trying to get them to come here to meet my family for the past year and a half but they have ZERO interest AND my family even offered to go there over the summer but his mother had said there were no weekends that were good for her which is SUPER AMUSING since she doesn't work. We've offered to pay for flights, we've offered to put them up in hotels before we had the house and they would always turn us down...
But why is it they'll go meet the family of a girl who their one son has been dating for 3 seconds but FH and I have been together for almost 2 years and they could give a shyt about meeting my family or seeing where their son has been living for the last 2 years.
I just hate them. I never wanted to be one of those people who hated their ILs. I ALWAYS had such good relationships with all of my exes families... in fact I liked the families better than some of my exes.
I hate that it is going to be like this... I'm sorry I live in New York and that your son moved here but it's not like he was living in his home town either. He was 6 hours away... so I don't understand what the issue is.
I write this woman emails with wedding updates and she just doesn't respond AT ALL anymore and now she's telling FH that we're ridiculous for being upset about FBILs supposed engagement and wedding...
And I can't keep venting to FH about it because he just gets upset that I am mad at his family since there is nothing he can do. I know it makes him feel bad but I can't help being pissed.
