So I went to 2 weddings this weekend... (warning, long, but with PICS)

One was at the Inn at New Hyde Park and the other was in Vegas!

The first one was AMAZING! The Inn was beautiful and the food was pretty good.

They used Sherwood Triart as their photographer (and videographer?) and while I don't know the product of their work yet, I did find them to be a little intrusive. I've been to a number of weddings and hardly noticed the photographers, but at this wedding, I couldn't help but notice them ALL THE TIME. Honestly, this might not mean much. Maybe it's just a coincidence that I've never noticed photographers like that! Anyway, I'm hoping that their pics are worth it. Can't wait for them to get the proofs! I've heard excellent things about the quality of Sherwood Triart's work.

The band was 'The Voices' and I thought they were great. They played a LOT of different music and they even sang 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica! It was really good too!

One odd thing, there were some kosher people at the wedding and at cocktail, they were given paper plates (because you can't mix certain foods even if the dishes are clean). The plates were RAINBOW colored... I found it weird that they weren't white... Anyway, here are some pics.

The Vegas wedding was beautiful! They did it at a golf club about 1/2 hour off the strip and there was a little pond with ducks! At one point, the ducks interrupted the Rabbi during the ceremony!! FH didn't like the music because it was either oldies (which I love) and cliche wedding songs. One cute thing was that they danced to 'I wanna grow old with you' by Adam Sandler and everyone sang along! So cute!

I love the dress she's wearing from the first wedding. But just curious, why wouldn't they give normal plates out. Paper plates from a catering hall?

I think when people keep Kosher, they can't have the same plates that meat and dairy may have been on even if they're been cleaned.

Because kosher dishes and utensils have to be stored/washed seperately from other dishes... (you can't use the same dishes for different foods, meat products can't touch dishes that are used to serve non meat products... this is a horribly rudimentary explanation) and I'm guessing that if the catering hall is not a kosher hall, that's A ALOT of trouble to keep track of... so paper is the solution.

I find it odd too, though, that the plates were rainbow colored... I dunno what that was about.

Oh man, you know him too?? Yeah, that's def him. That car was a POS Camaro and yes, it had a bra because the front end was crapppolaaa!

haha i remember him from this girl Kristin. she moved to Tenessee. my 2nd day of high school Scott made me cut and we drove around and he started doing donuts . i got so angry and scared. i dont think i ever spoke to him again ahaahah

OMG that's hilarious and soooo like him!! Scott was the one who introduced me to Stephen actually. He's a cool guy now, a bit more tame!

Both weddings looked awesome! My FSIL was at a wedding at the Inn at New Hyde Park this weekend! I wonder if it was the same one? Saturday night, the 14th. I think the groom was a cop (works with FBIL).
