So I went to a wedding this weekend-- Mini Review
I went to a wedding out of state this weekend. The bride looked absolutely beautiful . I mean the groom teared when he saw her coming down the aisle it was amazing ![]()

Besides all the wonderful things here are some things that i noticed so that we can try to make our days run a little smoother.
FH was the best man. The groom is his cousin so I was able to get the view from the other side.
Rehearsal Dinner- The RD was scheluded for 4:30 pm. Being that most people were coming from out of state only the brides side was able to make it to the RD. No one from the grooms side showed up (This was on a Friday so most of us were stuck in ridiculous traffic)
Aisle Runner- Whoever is doing the personalized runners DO THEM they look amazing.
Sweetheart table- They sat in a sweetheart table and had the two tables next to them with the bridal party and their dates. Everyone was extremely comfortable as they were close enough to the bridal party but the guest didnt have to sit with strangers.
Order of reception: Maybe it is just me So please dont judge me as this is JMO. When they walked in they sat down and the tables were called to eat dinner. I was confused as i thought that maybe there was going to be no first dance et all. The bride and groom sat in their table while all the guest ate and people had to come say hello to them. Once dinner was over they did the best man toast and then did the first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance. It flowed really well that way as they really opened up the dance floor and the party begun. Personally i didnt like it this way for the first hour it just seemed like they were to themselves and as guest you want to greet the bride and groom before you eat.
Night before the wedding: There were mixups with the hotels so some of us stayed in a not so nice hotel while others stayed in a really nice one for the same price. They were pretty close to each other so we all hung out in the nicer one. Since the grooms family missed out on all the festivities the mother of the groom went out and purchased food and liquor for us to keep us entertained. After seeing this I am thinking of setting something up in the hotel where my guest will be staying so that they have something to do the night before the wedding.
