FH saw an ad for an expo in Newsday and since we have a few loose ends to tie up (tuxes, hair/makeup, invitations) and they were giving away honeymoons, we decided to go.
The majority of the vendors were hawks and would not let us walk by without talking to us for a half hour. This even happened when I told the vendors I had booked someone in the same capacity.
We then went to see the fashion show/ band expo. The MC was from Commack Bridal Center and all he did was put down other bridal stores and talk himself up. Even when he was supposed to just introduce the next band, he went on and on about his store compared to others! The dresses in the fashion show were wrinkled and dirty and ill fitting.
The worst part about it was it was $10 each to get in and I have had non stop vendors emailing and calling me even though I didn't give them my information!!!

ohhhhhh, that's the worst! Well, Four (the resturant / lounge) in Melville on Rt 110, usually has really good one's. I think they have another one coming next month. BLI the radio station usually host it. They always have great give aways......
And it's free admission

i hate it when vendors are pushy! i have been getting a ton of calls from the last expo i attended. it really is annoying when they call all the time

was it in the Huntington Hilton? we went to that one over a year ago and it was so bad ...don't be surprised if you get a call about winning a free trip and pots all a scam , i got junk mail for almost a year from going to that expo

Yup! We really wanted to see about the honeymooms they were raffling off. We still have no clue where to go! The good news is, it led us to the furniture store and everything was 1/2 off!

Jericho Terrace is having one on 2/13 im going if you want to come ..... also if you need a travel agent i have info on ours she was great she books all my dad's trips he has been using her for years

OMG!!!! he's super annoying. When i walked in he started talking to me and said 'have you ever of my store'...I said 'yes, and quite honestly not good things' he said 'well you can't believe everything you hear afterall I've been in business for 40 years so I must be doing something right'. they didn't have a chance in H*ll of getting my business. I hated that guy.

The one at the Hilton is horrible!!!! That was my first and my LAST. I promised FH that I would never make him go to one of those again.
