So I'm here in Virginia....

Oh my what an adventure....
have I missed anything?

We had a long drive yesterday, got in later than expected. We could not find the stinkin' dorms we paid for. We get in- it's a friggin' JAIL CELL! Literally that confining and small and just dank and pathetic. No freaking joke. It was just horrendous. The room was teeny- and my friend and I got a double- guess what we slept on last night? BUNK BEDS!! It was the worst sleep either of us have ever had. We were so miserable, and it made class today, which was brilliant, so hard to get through. We literally knew we could not deal with this for two weeks.

Can I just tell you how MISERABLE I was? For one thing it was hard enough leaving home THREE WEEKS before my wedding for TWO WEEKS. Then I had to discover I had to live like the 12 year olds also sharing our dorm for their cyber kids camp?!?!?!

So....we found a hotel to stay at!

So that's where I'm at! We have to find out if we can even get our money back for the dorms. I would think so cuz we paid a rate per night. We were THAT miserable. I can't believe they put freshman up in these kinds of conditions. So now we're in an Extended Stay hotel with a kitchen and full fridge! WOOHOO!

And my niece is fine- just a little sprain. She won't have to wear a cast!



So I thought after all the drama I posted yesterday I should let ya know how it all turned out!

So this week my sis is dropping off the final payment at CLM! Wedding planning goes on without me!

So....have I missed anything?

Hi Tara! Sorry the dorms were a bad experience - I just went back to my college for a reunion and had the brilliant idea to stay on campus 'for old time's sake' - never making THAT mistake again

hey Tara!! sorry I missed your post yesterday about your jr. BM!!! glad to hear its most likely just a sprain! hmmm as far as missing anything, I posted earlier today about FH coming home from his week long stint in Vegas......so far it seems as though he stayed out of any shenanigans....BUT he did tell me that there was a PORN convention going on while he was there! complete w/ Jenna Jameson and all!! But I'm actually totally ok with it.....not jealous one bit...I'm just happy he's home! oh, and my other post today was that I found out my 'something old' will be something I asked my cousin to bring for me from Finland.....a cameo brooch that I gave to my grandma the last time I saw her alive.....I'm so happy b/c it will definitely add some special meaning, I think I might pin it on my bouquet wrap.

well I hope your trip goes fast....its amazing that I remember you posting about this so long ago about whether you should go since it was so close to the wedding! and now here we are! crazy! have fun though!

Tara what college are you staying at? Are you staying in the DC area? Let me know if you need any recommendations of places to go this weekend.

Aww Tara...thats horrible! I'm so glad you found a hotel to stay in instead!!!!

Just hold on tight....these two weeks will fly and before you know it, you'll be back home ready to be a bride
