So is it really bad...

that my wedding is Nov 1st and I haven't really started dress shopping yet??? I went to one sample sale in December, but that's it. I haven't looked since then. I know time is ticking. By when do you think I need to have picked a dress? I'm getting kind of nervous.

It depends on where you get your dress...some places take up to 6 mos to get it and then you usually have alterations. My sister got hers at David's and hers came in in a week (!!) and I got mine at Demetrios and it came in four mos. They did a hollow-to-hem and I didn't need any alterations. You prob have some time but I would book some appts soon so you don't feel pressured- it might take some time to find 'the' dress (And you will know the dess when you try it on!!)

lol yesterday... but seriously you reaally need to jump on it... some dresses take a considerable amt of time...

You'll be alright!! Sometimes it takes some longer than others to do things... I still haven't bought a dress but next month will be the month.... Everything will fall into place..

Got mine at RK bridal and it was here in 1 week and 2 days I kid you not. That is prob not the norm so I would just look online, buy some mags and get ideas of what you like and go for it. You will def know when you have found 'the one'

U have plenty of time. My wedding is in June (five months away) and I just got my wedding dress 2 weeks ago. I get my dress back in May for alterations!!!!
U have plenty of time but dont wait too long like I did. For now do your research. Go to bridal showcases, go to sample sales, go to davids bridal any bridal shop. For now research, research. research.

I think its all good if you order by early March. I say wait as long as you can to get it so you don't second guess

I noticed you said you went to a sample sale? If you're looking to get a sample dress as compared to one that needs to be ordering, then you definitely have lots of time!

I would start hitting up the stores...my dress came in in less than 3 months, I bought in Centereach...it was a Jasmine Couture. If you start getting crunched for time, check them out.

You are fine. I mean, I would start cracking down though because some dresses (Like mine) take 9 months to come in. So, I would start looking!

ur not in deep crap but id get going soon..u never know how long it could take..u dont want to find ur dream dress and find out it wont be in in time

mine is Nov 6th and I just ordered two weeks ago... I was told to def order by mid february by where I ordered mine hth

My wedding is Nov. 14th. I ordered a Demetrios dress last weekend but I have to go back for a hollow to hem measurement. The girl recommended I come back by mid-Feb the latest, but I think she's being super safe about making sure it comes in on time.

I would definitely start looking now. Make some apts and definitely try on dresses that you would normally not think is your style.
I went crash course dress shopping, because I was determined to find my dress while my sister , who is my MOH was in town!! She lives in San Diego and she came in to town 2 weeks ago and we had a full 3 days to go dress shopping as (we also had to drive to maryland to visit my neice) After the first 2 days I was actually discouraged because I thought, I like some dresses but I did not love any of them. I actually said to her who really gets the feeling that this is THE dress? After we came back from Maryland, we went to the wedding plaza in floral park which by the way has a really good selection of dresses. Wouldnt you know it the 1st dress I tried on was THE ONE! I tried on others after it but I kept comparing them to the first one.
I was hoping to find the dress with my sister and we did it! She also chose the BM dresses!
