and basically their reply is after their long, unasked story.......they cant make it.

OK, great, then send it in and mark it 'WILL NOT ATTEND'. Isnt that what the option is there for?

Is it that people feel bad saying they cant come, so they just take it upon themselves to just not send in the response card all together. Do they think Im just gonna forget all about them and not ask again???

I think some people just forget about it, some people just dont want to be bothered, and some really do feel bad checking off 'will not attend' so they just dont reply at all.

Its so dumb though because they dont realize we need to know either way!!

it's really rude though, considering that it not too hard to mail back a pre-stamped response card. It amazes me, you spend all this time stuffing the envelopes, putting pretty stamps on everything, and then people don't respond, rude!

Some people actually think that if they aren't going they don't have to respond. I've heard this from some people and I can't even believe it.

I'm starting to think this is actually quite true....b/c its the ones that I already assumed would say no........are the ones that havent sent them in yet.

I'm getting married on 9/10/05 as well and it's pretty annoying how lax people are about sending RSVPs. I agree that people who aren't coming would rather not deal with the situation and send an RSVP; they want to avoid dealing with providing an explanation. Other people just don't care enough to send an RSVP. It's sad. People are so uncivilized.

Yeah, I hope we get good weather as well. :) A friend of mine is getting married this Friday and said that she got swamped with responses the week after her RSVP deadline. Like I said, people can be very inconsiderate. I really don't want to remind people to respond...

RUDE!

HOWEVER:

YOU SHOULD NOT BE EMAILING OR CALLING THEM...THAT'S A JOB THAT SHOULD BE DESIGNATED TO YOUR MOH OR BEST MAN...SO THAT PEOPLE DON'T GIVE THEM A LONG RESPONSE AND JUST GET TO THE POINT.

Save yourself the grief, and delegate delegate delegate - no need for extra stress sweetie!
