so listen to this...

FH called me to tell me that he ran into our landlord this morning...they live upstairs and she asked him if we were engaged. (we never really told them b/c we only see them briefly in passing esp. since its been cold out we dont really run into each other as frequently, and there was really never a time to bring it up). She asked b/c she said she noticed us getting all these wedding related things in the mail (which i figured they would suspect it, b/c they leave our mail on our step for us) But then....she proceeds to say...'oh, well, you guys arent moving out soon are you??...b/c the last people who lived here didnt give us any notice' (the ppl who lived here before us got engaged also, and then bought a house shortly after)

Isn't that a little strange??? It seemed like that was all she was concorned about! lol! i asked FH if she at least said congrats, which she did, but still...strange..just thought it was interesting...lol

Well you dont have to feel bad about not telling her you guys were engaged

pretty strange. I guess she's scarred becaused it already happened to her once. Apparently tenants getting engaged=landlord getting screwed over in her mind. Why don't you knock on her door and tell her where you're registered

hahaha!! all i could think of after FH told me that was....it would be funny to hear what she has to say about us to the new tenants (whenever someone else DOES move in)...b/c the DAY FH and i moved in ....that night, she came downstairs to 'go over some things'....and she said all these things about the previous tenants, like, complaining about the things they did, we were in shock!! lol....b/c when the tenants were there...of course they had nice things to say....then once they moved out, she was like badmouthing them almost! she even said....'yeah, we even bought them an engagement gift!' lol...

she probably hears every single fight we get into, and every time we....you know

I love that I don't have to deal with lanlords anymore!

She's only worried about being burned...
