This guy at my job just came up from behind me and said 'ohhhh long island weddings' and I said 'dont be jealous'. Now I use that term as a joke as in 'dont be jealous I have to go do the laundry now' or 'I have to finish this spreadsheet - its tedious. dont be jealous'.
Anyway I figured hed know my humor but NO he said 'why would I be jealous that you are getting married in a wedding factory and paying way too much money?'
Well that MAY be true but I dont need someone whose not even close to me to point that out!
I just had to vent this out!!!! This is the same guy who has asked me countless times for the past 18 months 'when is the wedding again' and 'why so far away' and I had to set him straight with that and tell him if he has an extra 30K or so I can get married tomorrow!

I agree that the guy is a definite penis---and he's not the good kind of penis. Maybe he's more of a dildo, a wanna-be- penis!!!!
I'm not sure if this is a good way of handling it, but if someone asked me in a nasty way why I want an expensive 'Long Island' wedding, I'd give them an earful. I'd tell them it's because my guests deserve the service that you can only get at a place like __________(insert name of establishment). I'd ask them why I would get married elsewhere when Long Island is known for the best weddings. I'd say that I can afford it and sorry if they can't. I'd ask them if they prefer that I get married at a place with a cash bar, or maybe a pig roast. I know, it's obnoxious but when I am in a mood to stoop to someone else's level, I'll make it good!!!!
I know it's not the best solution but if someone puts me on the defensive, I'm going to have a field day making sure that they never do it to me again!!!!!!
Or maybe I'm just in that kind of mood at the moment (sometimes I am more shy).
