So long, farewell, auf weidersehen, good-bye!!!!!
So I guess this is goodbye…
I can’t believe it’s been two years and two months since I snatched the ring out of FH’s hands on the beach at Coney Island under the fireworks! I have to come clean about something – I knew about this website for quite a while before getting engaged, stalked it regularly and couldn’t WAIT to get engaged so I could join in the fun! And what fun it’s been.
I really consider all of the 09ers as one big family. I’m sometimes still amazed at your overwhelming generosity to people you really don’t know in real life! I’m so glad I’ve had a support community to share my ups and downs with…and trust me, it’s been a roller coaster ride!
So here I am, less than two days away from marrying the love of my life and the only person who I think could ever put up with my insanity. As of right now, my sister will not be attending. Her DH is having a hard time feeding the baby on his own and it would just be too much for her to leave the baby with him in NC for the weekend. My grandma also will not be coming because she’s been in bed for too long and being out for that long of a day would just not work. My dog is still on my s h it list and I am very happy to be able to spend the next week without him.
Thank you to everyone who has touched my life in one way or another on this board. Thank you to Ron, Liz, and Kim for giving us an outlet to express our frustrations and joys. Hopefully all my girls who are coming will very quickly report back to you with pictures from my big day.
Good luck to all my date and weekend twins! Good luck to everyone getting married the following weekend too since I won’t be around to say it next week!
