Ok - just got my annual review and it was a GREAT review! So I'm all excited to hear about my raise b/c lets face it, with a wedding who couldn't use the extra cash.
So for my fabulous work habits they give me a whopping 39 cents an hour...............
I'm trying to have a sense of humor about it but its not working. Is it me or is 39 cents an hour an insult???????

Unfortunately I can't even fight it!!! As FH always says there are two things you can do about it - nothing and like it.
To make FH laugh about it I told him we'd have to withdraw our bid on that house in Lloyd Neck on the water now

I havent had a raise for 18mths and to boot my bonus was down 35% last year. They better start forking up some cash this year! But I hear ya - very aggravating and upsetting.

I just worked out my raise per hour - $0.48. Yeah, the industry stinks. You know what my company did before raises this year? They did a lay-off. So everyone who was here after was in the frame of mind, 'At least I have a job.'
I say, 'Screw that, give me the money I deserve!'
THAT is why I can't wait to change careers.

Wow - it's bad, but from what I hear most companies are really doing badly and salaries are the first thing that suffers.

That is just it - my company has had a few articles in newsday written about them and how well we're doing and how we haven't lost money.
I figured it out that with last years crappy raise and this one I'm only up $1000 and I'm underpaid to begin with.
You know of any VP's who need an executive assistant?
