SO MAD at FBIL (BM) !! - VENT (Long)
So, I posted something a long time ago, about how I was afraid FH's brother (BM) was not going to put together a Bachelor Party (his other GM - one of which is his other brother - aren't the type to organize it either) - and if he did he'd put absolutely ZERO effort into it. I'm the one that eventually asked him, 'Hey, are you planning a bachelor party?' And the answer I got was - oh, yea..... WELL, I was right......
This past Saturday was his so-called 'bachelor party' if you can call it that. FBIL decided to get tix to go see Kings of Comedy, it was all the comedians from Howard Stern. Well, basically a week and a half before the show is when he started seeing who wanted to go, and then bought the tickets like only a few days prior.
So, I was at my parents for the weekend, and I told FH he didn't have to call me at all, to just have fun. Well, I talk to him Sunday and he said it completely ******. He had wanted to go to dinner first, but his brothers had to work, so FH and a couple friends grabbed a corndog at 711 and that was it. Then they met up at a freakin REST STOP in NJ to get in one car.....Waited in line for 50 minutes to get in the show, and they had general admission tix so they were stuck all the way in the back, couldn't see or hear any of the comedians.
Afterwards, the guys brought him into a strip bar, but stayed about 45 seconds because FH was so pissed off and disappointed and just wanted to go home. It wasn't just him, they all had a horrible time. And it was obvious how little effort was put into this. Basically, both of his brothers have been married before, they've had their BPs, and he got the short end of the stick..... He told them this too.
BM kept appologizing, and the next day is like 'well, you said you didn't want to do the stripper thing, I thought the comedy show was a nice thought' FH told him he never said that, whatever it's done with. Now, sidenote, I know exactly why they didn't do a stripclub (not that they had to), it's because both FH's brothers are so afraid of their women (one's wife, and one's fiance) knowing about it, cause they wouldn't 'approve'. I guess I'm different, cause I don't care - it's not like I'm afraid something's going to 'happen'.
SO, get this now - FBIL calls FH yesterday and says, hey lets go to the strip place Saturday night (I guess it's a lame attempt to make up for the disaster last weekend). Now, why is it ok to go to one now?? Because this Saturday is MY Bachelorette party, and his fiance and other brother's wife will be with me, and wouldn't know about it!! I know this, cause they did the same thing last year at FSIL's bachelorette party. I'm the only one that knew they went. FH told him no, cause he probably has to work the next day at 8am.
It's over with, and though FH says he doesn't care, I know he's disappointed and mad at FBIL. Rightfully so, I'M pissed off about it but can't say anything. I mean, I even feel bad about having my BP now since he got the shaft - because my BMs put a LOT of effort into mine, and actually seem to care that I'M getting married!
