he promised to help me study and pack today... and then he told my father that he would help him with something today and guess what he does... calls me at 1 and says my brother just called and wants to go fishing so im gunna go... he never says yes.... so i said fine go.. but im actually kinda pissed and not cuz hes going but cuz once again hes braking plans and he didnt even realize.

Meg, you gotta tell him that. If he's not realizing on his own that he's breaking plans, than you need to tell him.
Our job as their FW and eventually DW is to tell them when they're wrong. It's one of the greatest joys and privilages we have in life!
Sorry that he bailed on you though. That definitely s*cks!

oh trust me i gave him an ear full.. and he still went. cuz then he gives me the guilt trip and i feel bad for getting mad.
So i told him he has to take me out to dinner to make up for it!

talk to hiM!! he may not even be aware that your upset..This topic actually came up when i talked to the priest today (to book the church). He was saying how couples tend to say its ok to go somewhere or do something with the other partner (i.e. play poker, go out with friends, etc), but that when it really bothers you, definately say something..cause communication is very important thing in marriage

i did say something and right away. cuz i was upset that he tought it was ok for him to get up and go when he made plans to help me and my father. and his response was.. 'i never get to do anythign with my friends' so i ust said GO to shut up him and then well sit down and talk about it when he gets home.
but i do agree that communication is very important!
