dress issue solved..he was going by assumptions...pfffft fmil is actually very excited to see the dress!

church issue below is still bothering me..grr.

then we got into another fight bc i suggested that we visit my church....my priest won't confirm our date/time yet bc its still so early... annoying i know... but i just wanted to pass by and say hi... so that he doesnt forget us.
anyway fh flipped out and said he hated church and that he doesnt understand why we cant get married in his church (polish church in brooklyn)

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant stand him right now..i'm about to push him out the balcony....

Honestly.... if she doesn't want to see your dress... fine! I didn't bring mine to see it in person. As far as church... YOU'RE the BRIDE!!!! it should be in YOUR CHURCH !!!!!!! Unless you don't care or his church is nicer.. I guess.

which church in brooklyn your fh belonged to? i'm polish and getting married at St. Stanislaus Kostka in brooklyn . It's huge and very nice!

Fh tends to get obstinate and starts to over react when something having nothing to do with me is bothering him. And at first, I want to push him over a balcony. And then I remember...

Doesn't excuse him blowing up on you, you're just trying to keep everything in good graces. But you guys should chat when he's a little more relaxed.

PS, I might not push the FMIL/dress issue. See if you can involve her in something you and FH need to do together that she can have some input on, like flowers or something, and I think everyone would be more comfortable, espcially with the language barrier.. But def stand up for having the ceremony in your church if that's what you want.

ETA: The church won't confirm your ceremony yet? We booked ours for Sept 2011 already... I know every church is different, but you might be right about it being a good idea to go visit!

Did he ask her if she wanted to see your dress or is he just assuming? Maybe you should give her a call?

As far as the church is concerned im going through the same thing! We arent booked either and FH keeps saying its fine bc his dad knows so and so and blah blah blah...

I think until its a week away they wont realize how important all of the details are!
