So Mad at Myself

So Mad at Myself

So the past few days I have been really mad and dissapointed in myself... I planned on losing a bunch of weight for the wedding (I had already lost a bunch) but ever since I started planning I wouldn't seem to lose any weight and am up like 10 lbs. To top it off, my 2 girls have both managed to lose over 20 lbs just since like Christmas and this makes me hate myself so much. Everyone is losing weight for my wedding but me!
I am seriously afraid that my BMs and MOHs will look better than me and everyone will be taking pictures of them and talking about how beautiful they are and just pretty much ignoring me or talking about how much of a whale I look like This *****...

The same thing happened to me. I am up like 10. I thought I would have all the motivation in the world but I have none.

You will look beautiful no matter what. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself.

Just try to watch what you eat and start exercising starting now and you should be fine.

Ugh I know how you feel! I just don't have the motivation!!!! I wanted to lose 20-30 lbs during my year long engagement. It's been 8 months since I got engaged and it's just so hard! I have so much on my mind and it's so hard to focus on weight loss when my mind can barely focus on everything else

My dress fits, but I still want to lose weight in my arms and tummy - gotta find the motivation!!!

I am right there with you -- I wanted to lose soo.... much weight and it just hasn't happened. Instead I gained from stress with grad school and I was on a daily medication for my migraines and when I came off of it I gained weight. But I don't get migraines anymore. Ugh!!

I've done WW and going to the gym but it's just not working -- and I've lost all motivation. So I just went to the doctor last week to see if he could put me on anything to help the situation -- we'll see when I go backon Monday after he gets my blood results back.. Maybe something wil work -- I hope

OK, first of all, you will not look like a whale!! You will be a beautiful bride and all eyes will be on you, and they will not be critiquing. Your BMs will not take away from that no matter what.

I know how you feel, though. It's so hard when everyone else tells you you look fine but you think you look disgusting. It's all about how you feel and not what other people think. And on top of it, it's so easy to turn to food when you feel bad about yourself. I have found that if I exercise every day, even just for 30 minutes, I feel more toned, have more energy, and don't feel as guilty about food. Since planning a wedding is so stressful anyway, it might be good to take a break at this stage in the game and make sure you're taking time for yourself, to take a walk, go to the gym, weight train, etc. It doesn't have to be anything super-hard or for a long time.

I joined Weight Watchers online (no meetings) in January and have done fairly well. You can lose a lot in the first few weeks without depriving yourself. It forces you to concentrate on what you're doing by writing everything down that you eat and helps you focus on exercise by allowing you more points if you do some physical activity. This might be one suggestion for helping you get in control, since I know that feeling out of control is one of the hardest things.

Good luck, but no matter what, you will be beautiful that day and FH will think so!!!

I feel for your pain - you are talking to someone who ordered her dress in a smaller size and then went ahead and gained 10 pounds after that - and haven't lost it. My 1st fitting is this weekend, you will see my picture on Saturday's news at 11 bride jumps off empire state building........ Eating a giant black and white cookie.

Seriously I feel comfortable with myself but the pictures are what scares me most - I NOT paying thousands of dollars for dress hair makeup flowers ect ... to end up wanting to burn all of my pictures because I hate the way I look..... NO WAY

Do you want to start a motivational thread - we all still have time to shape up?

If we are accountable to each other maybe we will stay on track - lets not lose hope....

awwww sweetie ~ Trust me ALL eyes will be on you! no matter what ~ if you lose 10/15/20 pounds or not..... I know how you feel though I wanted to lose more weight than i have also... but either way you are going to be a GORGEOUS bride ~ you are GORGEOUS girl! Don't worry and you still have time ~ You are getting married at the end of July ~ Start NOW and stay focused & not because you want to lose weight but because you want to FEEL your best on your most special day! Try to work out 3-5 days a week ~ plus it is a stress releiver (walking, cardio anything, dancing to the radio) Since I have been doing the WW walking video (30 min) I feel the difference in my energy level and less stressed 2... Good Luck!

Don't beat yourself up over this. I wanted to loss 40 pounds before my wedding and as of now I am lucky if I lost 10. Yous till have plenty of time to lose some more weight. If you do that's great but if you don't that's ok too! Just remember that on your wedding day you are going to be a beautiful bride.
