so many thoughts going on at once....

Went to Thomas Knoell today... and I think I'm in love with his earrings

Still trying to rationalize spending all this $$$ though.

On the bright side, I got my wedding band sized today and it looks awesome.

On the bad side, FH won't stop talking about moving to North Carolina where neither of us know ANYBODY but his job prospects look great. I don't want to call it off for this, but I kind of feel like if we weren't engaged, this would be kind of a dealbreaker. I've been moving around all my life, I kind of feel like i'm pretty grounded here in NY.

I didn't know I was saying yes to someone who wasn't planning on sticking around.

I'm sorry you're going through that. That kind of stuff is tough...FH knows that I'd love to move anywhere else in a heartbeat, but I also know that his job prospects here are better than anywhere else.
It's all about reaching a compromise. Had you guys talked about where you intended to settle down before you got engaged?

Awww, hon, he prolly has no idea you feel that way! He's not NOT sticking around for you, he's probably thinking he can do better fo ryou with a better job prospect.

But that's upsetting, to think you might have to move AGAIN. You should talk to him. But I'm sure you know that already

Thomas Knoel does such beautiful work, tho I couldnt justify myself spending all those $$$$ on DOJ. if u have some room in the budget go for it!

about moving: date twin dont worry, when its a great job thing its always a good thing and on the bright side everything is so new and u can totally reinvent urself and find new things ur into. I had to move from Israel here and tho I do have my aunts and uncles here I was still basically all on my own and tho it was lonely I still made it work and tried so many new things and did so many things on my own - things I would never do alone back home.
but if u move u wont be alone 0- u will be with ur husband and that is so much funner and u guys will really build a whole new life totally together.
plus its not that ur FH is not sticking around u, he just wants a better job and future for u too

oy, that stinks about possibly moving, but i feel like some things happen for a reason, and it doesnt have to be forever ya know, but it might be alittle easier for you both especially now that youre starting out if you lived there rather than here, we all know ny is expensive to say the least, so good job means more money is a state that cost of living is way lower, meaning more discretionary income wooohoooo!!!!

And as for moving, FH and I had a talk....pretty much me being hysterical and saying if we move, he's going to be meeting so many new people and realize that he married the biggest dork in the world. (I'm super shy.) And then he says to me, 'but, I love that you're a dork.'

So we reached a compromise, and we're staying in NY at least a few months after the wedding, and if a great opportunity comes up in NC, we'll try it out for size and if it doesn't work, we can move back :) Yay. Love my FH :)

what about you? would u b able to find work? many ppl leave the tristate area for better opportunities. I wouldnt axe the idea... keep it in the back of your mind..it might work out for both you!
