So me and FH had a little tiff...whats your opinion? a little long

you can be honest...definately dont take my side if you think im wrong

So Fh is 1 of 8 children. Needless to say he has many nephews and nieces (hes also the youngest so that makes it even more so).

We are inviting all the nieces and nephews (ones old enough or in serious relationships/married are being invited with a guest or spouse, etc.)
This includes nieces and nephews who are from previous marriages of his siblings (because they are still his family obviously).

Well, his God children, 1 niece and 1 nephew (bro and sis) from one of his brother's first marriage, he wasnt planning on inviting. And the only reason he could give after me pressuring him was that he doesnt really have anything to do with them plus they dont invite him to any of there things. I said that first of all we havent been invited to any of the other nieces or nephews events and thats probally because they havent invited any of their uncles/aunts cuz it wasnt major events and that i could understand him not inviting them if he was singled out as an uncle who wasnt invited but thats not the case. Hes no closer with the other nieces/nephews except that i think he likes them better to be completely honest, lol. I told him that we have to do the right thing and invite them since there is no valid reason for not and since we are also inviting the others.

i agree with you... my dads sister completely alienated herself from our family when my gma died... but im still inviting her and my cousins

ok thanks guy. I just wanted to make sure i wasnt over stepping or maybe i was just wrong to think like that.

im the first to want to save money and cut people where we can- but i just didnt think that this is people who we should be cutting (plus he goes, they dont even care, so i said, then they wont come if they dont care...look if they come to get a free meal, there is nothing we could do)

I think you should invite them since they are his godchildren.

i agree with you... from what ive seen a lot of times people dont invite others because werent invited to thats persons stuff... but at the same time the other person is thinking the same thing about them lol so it end up being so dumb

I think since you are inviting ALL of those people, you cannot just exclude a few.

I agree. ESPECIALLY because they're his godchildren. H E L L - I don't speak with my godfather, but he's still invited to my wedding. Same goes for an aunt and two of my cousins.

Ah....family politics...exhausting I tell ya!! I agree with you...you are totally right...he needs to invite them especially since they are his godchildren....maybe they wont come if you are lucky??
