Does anyone else feel like their wedding is SO far away. I know everyone says it flies and I am enjoying being engaged. But I am anxious to do all the fun 'dress' stuff. I am trying to wait as long as possible so I have things to look forward to and not regret any decisions.

i was talkin to a guy from a limo company today and he asked when the wedding was and i said aug of 09... i have plenty of time... and hes like ehhhh not really LOL dunno if he was just tryin to sell me or what

I'm not too crazy over party buses...I dont know what it is. Well my FH doesn't even want limos, he wants to save the money and have everyone drive their own a$$s to the reception

i feel the same way. i cant wait to go dress shopping and doing all the finalizations on the wedding.. but on the other hand i love just being engaged and dont want to rush anything. im just enjoying everything day by day.

we're saving money in other areas so we can spulge for the bus... we live in the bronx so im sure people would appreciate not having to drive to LI.... but then i wanted to get to the RH early to take pics and not sure what peopkle woudl do if they got there early

Time is flying by. That is why fh does not want to make our engagement 'official' until all the little things are done.... so we wont stress...

I feel like the wedding is so far away, but I've already gotten so much done. It's almost disappointing that I don't have that much stuff to do for the next year and a half!

besides booking the hall (which i hope to do this weekend) i feel the same way!! the only thing i really wanna do is try on gowns!!!!

im crazy and i already ordered my dress...i went looking just to see whats out there and ended up finding the right dress....but FH & i agreed we're only gonna book the RH for now and wait to start on anything else until after our engagement party in june

We did the same thing. We got engaged in September 07 and our wedding is September 09, but we agreed the only thing we would do before our engagement party is book the hall, which we did in December with my parents.
I feel like it's far away and everyone tells me oh it's far but I feel like just yesterday we got engaged and now our engagement party is already here.
I wish it was sooner but I LOVE being engaged. So I am enjoying it and the planning process.

its funny because we got engaged in July 2007 and we are getting married in December 2008 - a little less than a year and a half engagement....we booked our hall in August a month after we got engaged and then we waited until recently to start booking our vendors (the only other vendor we booked right away was our photog in September) because i didnt want to rush and have nothing left to plan - i wanted to stretch it out......what is funny is that almost everywhere we went or called they told us we had SO MUCH time i was like what??? here i'm thinking that i'm really behind because on LIW so many girls are booking things almost 2 years in advance - and here we are booking within a year and some of our vendors are saying that our wedding is far out! so i guess everyone has a different perspective on when is to soon and when its close.....
anyway sorry for rambling
i feel like my wedding is never going to come....i've been engaged about 5 months and we have about 10-11 months left and we BOTH cannnot wait for our day - even FH gets anxious about it im glad we still have all these months because we still owe out so much money and we still have a lot of things to book BUT there is a small part of me that wants the wedding to be tomorrow i called about my dress yesterday and they told me its due to ship in mid June - i feel like i have to wait so long just to try on MY dress! it just seems like i have to wait wait wait.....but im sure at some point i will say to myself - where did all the time go? and before i know it the wedding will be here.....
at least we are all waiting together!

im stretching out booking our vendors too...i dont wanna get overwhelmed with everything at once....thats good to know about still having plenty of time because i feel like i should start booking some vendors ..
