and she told me of the like 50 people invited so far only 12 have said yes I'm really happy I'm even having a shower and at least 3 people are coming from OOT (boston, fairfax, toronto) for it but its a bit sad that it will prob be very small. its very casual (at FMILs) and I'm sooo grateful to be having one at all but just a tiny bit disappointing

Mines a little small too. I thought I was upset at first but you know what, its the day after my b-party and if I am too hungover, it's for the better. I'm not as upset as I was...
but I had learned that on my mom's side, her cousins have a shower the SAME day as my shower, and her wedding is the same day as MINE (what are the effing odds right??? i dont know this relative at all and supposedly there's a story about it), but because I sent my STD's first, they are coming to my wedding and going to her shower.

I know exactly how you feel!
My mother told me not many people has RSVP'ed for the shower, but then she got a bunch at the last min.
You never know, maybe people are just late responders.

Mine was small too. Invited about 60 and had 20 show. Hardly any RSVPs too. People are so weird with RSVPs. I still had a wonderful time because everyone who I really really wanted to see was there.
