the dress that i loveeee is a kenneth pool 'degas' but its way out of my budget...so i found this other dress that looks very similar to it and a similar design to the dress that i ordered....its a now and forever style 48244...do you think i should go try it on and see how i feel because i dont know if i can make it to july for my alterations to see how i feel about the original dress
wow that certainly does look similar!! If you will always regret not seeng it i say go try it on...who knows, you might hate it and realize how much you love your dress!

I would go try it on...even if you tried on the Degas which is out of budget you might be able to find it on ebay, preownedweddingdresses.com, etc. Its such a popular dress I'm sure you could buy the sample or pre owned. That replica dress looks pretty darn close also!
I think that if its in your head you gotta just go and see for yourself.
I ended up doing a dress re select in December (I had originally purchased in late September) and funny enough-the 'new' dress was one that I had originally wanted to try on from the get go.

That's a beautiful dress! You should try on the Now and Forever, if the KP is the one you are in love with (i honestly can't tell the difference between the two!) But I love the one you bought! If you're not 100% happy with it then you should go try on others.

Wow! Its looks exactly like it!
I went to The Wedding Salon of Manhasset in November and they had the degas on the sale rack and it was $1,500. Maybe call there to see if they still have it?
ETA: It was the sample but it looke great! I tried it on but it didnt work with my huge hips!
